Angles v24.2 Release Notes

This article describes the following feature enhancements and resolved issues for Angles Professional v24.2, released on July 18th, 2024.

Angles Professional v24.2 Feature Enhancements

Feature Title Description
ERP security page filters The security page feature is enhanced with a filtering option in the Mapping Settings popup window for All Users, Mapped Users, and Unmapped Users to enhance productivity. When a user loads the list, the All tab is displayed first, followed by specific user categories based on mapping status. While switching between tabs, only relevant users are displayed without altering the sort order or the UI page size.
Regional preset UI screens The regional preset UI screens are enhanced to make it more user-friendly and improve categorization. The preset UI is updated to include organizing the options under specific section titles like Dashboards, Visualization, and User profile settings. Additionally, tooltip messages for every section title are added for better navigation within the UI.
Prevent Dashboards from being deleted if they have a "Pack" associated To prevent users from deleting the Dashboards that are associated with a Pack and to avoid confusion for customers a pop-up is displayed warning users about removing associations with the related packs.
Dropdown alignment in "Add new data source" To sort the options under the Add new data source dropdown the Other option is moved to the end.
MFE Search bar UX enhancements The MFE Search bar layout is redesigned to add a button at the end of the search bar while maintaining the same functionality.
User Interface enhancements The User Interface is enhanced to improve headers and various other icons.
Select the 'Type' of XLSX for scheduled reports The scheduled reports feature is enhanced to add XLSX report format option for scheduling, in addition to the existing PDF format.
Support Multiple Visual Groups/Filters for Drill-Through The drill-through feature is enhanced to dynamically support multiple groups/filters with various visuals.
Implement AI DocAssist The AI DocAssist feature is introduced to implement AI chatbot in Angles to access How-to’s and FAQs easily and provide quick solutions to user queries.
Implement pagination for Business Views The pagination for Business Views is enhanced to improve page load timing for Angles users resulting in a better display of business view names.
Drill Through] - Inherit the Filters that are applied on the parent The drill through feature is enhanced to inherit filters and time bar settings from parent visualization to child visualization.
Require user to select a Run Time before saving on Schedule UI In the Schedule tab, you can now provide either the Run time details or select Send Now before saving the form to avoid running into errors.

Angles Professional v24.2 Resolved Issues

The following are issues resolved during the v24.2 release:

  1. Removed a misleading warning message about Row-Level-Security (RLS) and Column-Level-Security (CLS) being disabled.

  2. Search bar issue is now resolved to ensure all author names are listed in the Author column on the Packs page.

  3. When a user clicks on a pack with no dashboards it does not redirect to the dashboards page.

  4. Random sorting issue in the Dashboards column on the Packs page is now resolved.

  5. When a user creates a new pack or edits an existing pack, the buttons now display a loading state while saving the form.

  6. Saving permissions in the Manage Groups is now working as expected.

  7. XLSX format schedules are now working properly.

  8. When incorrect credentials are used for setting up a connection, an error message now pops up as expected,

  9. Flyout hyperlinks are now working as expected.

  10. Column sorting is now working as expected.

  11. Scheduling page now displays a default run time.

  12. Group flyout is now opening as expected.

  13. Oracle EBS connection editing is now working as expected when toggling between the dynamic content.
